Darcy McGehee
(MFA, SMTT, IDME) An associate professor in dance at the University of Calgary, happily surrounded by dancers, choreographers, and researchers. It is this lively experience that stimulates her questions about life, dance and human development. She has trained and performed in Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver, San Francisco and Los Angeles. She incorporates training in theatre, voice, anatomy, kinesiology, and Body-Mind Centering in her approach to dancing, choreographing and teaching. She is a certified Somatic Movement Therapist, Infant Developmental Movement Educator and researches movement, the use of somatic techniques in dance training and the application of somatic therapy to developmental delays.
